A compact member of the Nexus family, the EazyPod is a mechanical and biological filter system for ponds up to 10,000 litres. The EazyPod utilises 18 litres of static K1 Micro, which provides enhanced biological benefits, even when using the EazyPod solely as a mechanical waste filter.
The EazyPod is a compact and efficient pond filter that combines both mechanical and biological filtration processes. Here’s how it works:
- Initial Water Entry and Mechanical Filtration:
- Water from the pond enters the EazyPod through the inlet.
- It then circulates around the outer chamber, where it encounters a stainless steel grill.
- This grill filters out larger solids, which settle at the base of the outer chamber. This represents the first stage of mechanical filtration.
- Secondary Mechanical and Biological Filtration:
- The partially filtered water moves into the central chamber through the stainless steel grill.
- As it passes through a mass of K1 Micro media, finer solids become trapped, further purifying the water mechanically.
- Simultaneously, the K1 Micro media, with its extensive surface area, supports the growth of bio-films. These bio-films host beneficial bacteria that facilitate biological filtration by breaking down harmful substances like Ammonia and Nitrite.
- Final Water Return:
- Once the water has been cleaned through the K1 Micro media, it rises within the central chamber.
- The clean water then overflows into the inner return pipe and flows back into the pond through the outlet.
- Ease of Maintenance:
- The EazyPod is designed for simplicity and convenience, making it easy to clean and maintain.
This dual filtration process ensures that the pond water remains clear and healthy, while the user-friendly design allows for straightforward operation and upkeep.
